Pupils Get Growing with New School Garden Project

Pupils across the school have been rolling up their sleeves this term as part of our exciting new School Garden Project.

With support from staff and volunteers, children from every year group have been busy planting vegetables, herbs, and flowers in our newly developed garden area. The project has been designed to help pupils learn more about where food comes from, how plants grow, and the importance of caring for the environment.

Each class has been given responsibility for a section of the garden, encouraging teamwork and a real sense of ownership. From preparing soil to watering seedlings, pupils have shown fantastic enthusiasm and curiosity, despite the occasional muddy shoe!

As the garden grows, it will be used as an outdoor learning space to support lessons in science, maths, and writing. We’re looking forward to harvesting our first crops later in the year and sharing them with the school community.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible, we can’t wait to see (and taste!) the results.
